Destiny’s objective is to conceptualize, finance, construct, and commission infrastructure solutions that enable its customers cheaper, more reliable access to and usage of environmentally-sustainable energy solutions. Our customers include governments and utilities, large listed industrial, mining, and real estate corporates, producers of energy-intensive consumable products, as well as other energy and power producers.

Destiny is currently developing, on its own or in partnership:

  • Close to 50 MWe of combined heat and power projects, fuelled by natural gas, biomass, furnace waste gas, waste heat recovery to power, and solar PV/ solar thermal. These are located on or very close to the sites of operation where the energy they will provide (typically electricity, hot water, steam, & chilled water) will be consumed. Often, our plants will replace as much as 80% of the energy that the customers operation currently consumes off the electrical grid and additional own supply, with a consequential fall in the cost of energy at that site.
  • In excess of 400 MWe of mid-size thermal power plants, with off-take designated for national utilities and large industrial & mining corporations, in the Southern Africa region. These are in support of national electrical utilities, often enhancing the electrical grid, reducing existing line losses and enabling new power supply to additional customers.
  • Advancing the supply, storage, transportation, and consumption of about one million tons of LNG for contracted customers.
  • Providing governance, management, and technical services, via a contracted long-term management agreement, to AEP Energy Africa.
